Job Description:

The Supply Planning team is responsible for leading the efforts to maximize Macy’s Private Brands’ network capacity, inventory availability, increase overall operating efficiencies and reduce lead times. The team is accountable for translating demand plans provided by Financial and Merch Planning teams into category supply plans to better allocate and reserve capacity within their established vendors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Foster relationships with vendors as they update capacity information throughout the season.
• Role will track KPIs and adherence to communicate to necessary internal teams.
• Aggregate FOB / Brand / Class demand plans into a category view.
• Proficient background knowledge of Supply Planning (e.g., manufacturing timing, global product flow, countries of origin, costing).
• Receive style-vendor allocations and unit projections from Sourcing Analysts (Category and FOB / Brand) to build initial capacity plans that support brand growth and vision.
• Create and maintain the Demand Plan Aggregation Tool.
• Work alongside Supply Planner to update supply plans based on analysis of capacity needs and reserve final capacity with vendors after final unit commitment.
• Own and drive forward the Supply Plan / Capacity Reservation Tool.
• Understand current vendor network capacity and Brand “share of capacity”.
• Support creation and management of the Demand / Supply Calendar and Milestone Meetings.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree with emphasis on supply chain or related field
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Highly collaborative individual that can work seamlessly alongside numerous teams and levels
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs
