Are you a big picture thinker? Are you fascinated to explore new areas and pioneer strategic topics? Eager to share what you’ve learned with others? This may be the perfect role for you.

We are looking for a deeply curious, analytical and strategic thinker to join our vaccines Competitive Intelligence team. In this role, you will focus on key competitors and cross-cutting projects to build a comprehensive understanding of competitor commercial strategies and market level opportunities. You will shape and implement an approach for how this information can best be disseminated throughout GSK, with the aim of cultivating greater CI awareness and embedding a competitive focus into the culture and everyday decision making.

This is a high visibility role, with opportunity to connect with a broad array of internal stakeholders and senior leadership. It is imperative to have excellent communication skills (written, verbal), leadership presence and ability to foster relationships in a matrixed organization (e.g., with customer insights, marketing, R&D, medical, investor relations, public affairs). You must have a deep understanding of the global vaccines landscape, market dynamics, and trends driven by or influencing the industry. You are able to gleam meaningful insights from a multitude of sources, connect the dots and generate a big picture market view.

You must be competitive and proactive yourself, with an unrelenting passion for better understanding the external market environment. You must be able to execute independently but also work in collaboration with many teams. You will need to be comfortable with, and appropriately able to manage, uncertainty and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving. You are also excited by the power of applying data science to identify market opportunities and drive business impact.

Your Responsibilities

  • Partner – You will partner with a broad array of stakeholders from numerous functions and various levels of leadership and be able to assess and communicate the relevance of CI insights to each team. Further, you will scope, structure and lead projects with external agencies and knowledge resources.
  • Analysis – Overall, you will lead the synthesis of internal and external data relevant to our competition and strategic initiatives and evaluate it’s impact on our ability to be competitive
  • Recommendations – You will bring out recommendations from your analysis and pro-actively propose new or further areas of analysis that are relevant to our commercial strategies
  • Communication – You have exceptionally strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of audiences, craft compelling storylines, and present with confidence.
  • Rapid key event coverage – you will shape and guide the coverage of key events relevant to the competitors within scope, and manage the workflow to assess and rapidly disseminate key information
  • Intelligence Strategy – Working with the Head of Competitive Intelligence, you will help shape the evolution of the team to ensure it continues to learn and develop
