Azure Hyperscale Network Standards and Evolution Program Management team’s mission is to design, develop, test, deploy and operate the world’s best network.

Networking is going through a revolutionary transformation as more customers move their workloads to the cloud. Customers want to securely deliver their workloads across multiple geographies and data centers while ensuring low latency, high scalability, and high availability. This requires cutting edge routing and optical networking solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the evolution of our hyperscale global cloud network to meet these needs. #aznetPM

Responsibilities

As Senior Program Manager, Network Evolution, you will closely partner with architects and networking leaders to define and execute on a long-range technical roadmap for the Azure Hyperscale Network

  • Deliver vision and requirement documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Work extensively with engineering leads to scope, prioritize and drive feature specifications
  • Ensure the engineering teams are gaining insights from and acting on key metrics as well as customer engagements
  • Track status and manage communication on engineering and technical dependencies to ensure delivery of roadmap
  • Drive specific strategic initiatives

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years program management experience including shipping complex technical solutions related to cloud networking
  • 3+ years work experience related to networking (optical, routing, monitoring)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic planning experience with responsibility for delivery of 3-5 year technology roadmaps
  • Technical depth and ability to relate customer use cases to technical enhancements
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Able to prioritize, plan and track large scale programs across various partner teams

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
