Job Description:

Purpose: Oversee floor operations and processes to ensure that all employees stay on task while working accurately, efficiently, and safely, -. Ensure that the organization’s measurements and KPIs, as well as service levels and delivery timelines, are satisfied through managing the flow of goods. In a fast-paced environment, supporting all parts of the business operations, such as outbound and inbound, of a 1.5 million square foot facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage attendance, performance, and/or conduct issues as outlined in the company policies and procedures and communicate to the Operations Director
  • Ensure associates have a safe and clean work environment (6S) and any unsafe acts, accidents, or injuries are immediately reported and proper policies and procedures are followed.
  • Communicate professionally with internal as well as external stakeholders and / or customers.
  • Operations Manager – is required to be at work at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the shift.
  • Direct associates into proper clocking codes to ensure accuracy of time keeping.
  • Ensure records are properly maintained (production, audits, etc.) and policies are adhered to. Report any known discrepancies to the Operations Director
  • Retain basic knowledge of all operations.
  • Maintain key relationships with Distribution Routing, Wave Planning, Transportation, Safety Coordinators and HR representatives in order to assist in managing the operation. –
  • Celebrate accomplishments, reward productive behavior and performance that contribute to the overall operational success.
  • Coach, develop, and train associates as required. Promote labor sharing and cross training. Meet coaching requirements as defined by the Operations Director.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills: both orally and in writing. Possess the ability to effectively send and receive messages and correspond with senior leaders within the DC.
  • Strong Microsoft competency of Excel, Word, Power Point Must be highly motivated and possess the ability to work independently with limited supervision in a high-volume/energy environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Technical skills: the ability to perform the tasks inside area of responsibility.
  • Ability to manage multiple employees, performing multiple functions.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in a warehouse/distribution fast-paced complex environment preferred.
  • Ability to assess priorities and make decisions to meet key business objectives.
  • College Degree preferred, high school education or equivalent required.
  • Conceptual skills: ability to obtain, interpret, and apply information needed to make sound decisions.
  • Administrative skills: ability to plan, organize, and coordinate.
  • Leadership skills: Possess the ability to engage, provide purpose, motivation and direction to associates and team in order influence all to accomplish the day-to-day tasks as required for the operation. .
  • Human relations skills: the ability to work with and through people.
