All About The Role
As part of the infrastructure platforms department, The Platform Engineering team will be leading the design, implementation and ongoing support of the tooling that underpins our global infrastructure. From AWS, containers and cloud networking to Hashicorp Vault, You will lead a high performing team on a wide range of projects and collaborate with colleagues across the business.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to:
- Nurture professional development of team members through regular 1:1s and coaching on career development
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and Senior Engineers to ensure the team set their priorities appropriately, tracking progress and managing stakeholder expectations across multi-functional teams.
- Assist the team in maintaining high standards of operational excellence and holding them accountable for following agreed processes
- Assist Engineers in effectively owning streams of work, from design to support in production
Can you deliver…
Here are the skills and experience we need from you:
- Amazon Web Services, AWS (or similar e.g. Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience with running cloud platforms at scale
- Experience of running a containerised infrastructure (EKS, K8’s)
- Knowledge of the Hashicorp toolset
- Great stakeholder management
- Experience in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban)
- Leading and delivering high quality infrastructure projects, driving forward best practices.
