Our team extends the reach for ABC and ABC Signature shows through merchandising working with category leaders to develop compelling product assortments, secure retail placements, translating television property into a consumer products brand driving brand awareness and incremental revenue.

Responsibilities :

The Licensing and Franchise Management for ABC TV network intern will support:

  • Identify White Space opportunity for all IP’s within ABC shows especially for Grey’s Anatomy and Golden Girls through analysis of revenue opportunities, seeking collaboration partners and market research/competitive analysis
  • Help assist with routing marketing and promotional collateral for approval
  • Prepare, update and help build pitch decks and materials for ABC internal partners, as well as cross-divisional partners for Licensing rights
  • Assist with managing day-to-day relationship with licensees, providing information, asset distribution, and resolving issues
  • Lead product development across multiple categories, ensuring product reflects brand expectations, quality, and Disney ILS and product integrity standards
  • Procure approvals from Legal, Business Affairs, Labor, Marketing, and Studio/Network for various projects and materials as needed
  • Support the team for licensing and marketing initiatives in support of Franchise priorities
  • Regularly maintain product decks and spreadsheets
  • Streamline process documentation
  • Manage and organize samples

  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong relationship building and time management skills
  • Mac and MS Office Suite (including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Keynote) proficient
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges
  • Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders, balance numerous projects simultaneously, prioritize deadlines and effectively work in a fast-paced environment
  • An appreciation for the Disney brand!
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or graduated from 4 year university

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Familiar with ABC and ABC Signature TV shows and/or strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry
  • Previous experience in a related field
  • Working knowledge of the television and entertainment industry

Required Education :

 

  • Enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student in an accredited college/university in the semester prior to the internship or graduated within the past 6 months
  • Previous experience (academic or internship) in marketing, communications, television and/or business

Additional Information :

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Work Environment:

 

  • All candidates must be available from May/June 2022 through early January 2023
  • This internship is both a remote and in-person internship.
  • The internships requires a working, reliable internet connection, as well as a quiet, dedicated work space.
  • All candidates must be able to work in the Burbank office and provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
  • All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week.
  • All candidates must be open to working West Coast hours.
  • All students must provide a consistent, reliable work schedule during the session.
