Responsibilities

A day in the life…

  • Sharpen your skills in Brand Merchandising within a global omni-channel organization.
  • Understand how to build consumer-centric, segmented and cohesive worldwide product lines by brand.
  • Partner with global cross-functional partners as part of the Global Merchandise Product Creation team.

Be a part of a transformative team and culture … (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to)

  • In tandem with the Brand Merchandiser, develop the vision, business strategy, and quarterly assortment plan by category and brand.
  • Review weekly sales performance within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Assess benchmark competitors and analyze consumer insights.
  • Support and prepare product presentations to cross functional partners.
  • Maintain accurate data integrity within key systems. (e.g., PLM)
  • Manage samples – sample organization/archiving/etc.
  • Cross check timelines to ensure appropriate internal handoffs are delivered on-time.
  • Lead the creation of the item set up process.

Basic Qualifications

What We Are Looking For…

  • High energy, self-starter with an ownership mentality and a passion for Merchandising. Customer-focused, results driven, and analytical.
  • Comfortable communicating effectively with colleagues and partners both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate cross functionally with multiple internal and external business partners.
  • Process information quickly with ability to offer solutions to challenges with strong decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior participation in the Disney College Program

Required Education

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.
  • You’ll be a current student or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Retail & Fashion, Marketing, Business Management or related studies.

Additional Information

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
  • Must provide full work availability
  • All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
  • Must provide own transportation to/from work
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
  • Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May 2022 – August 2022
