The Lilly Professional Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month intensive fixed duration (FDE) professional development program during which the apprentice receives a combination of formal training, on-the-job learning, and mentoring in a key functional area to be equipped to compete for a Lilly position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

Lilly is seeking an IT Service Delivery Apprentice who shares our passion for making life better for people around the world. This apprentice will be a member of the Information and Digital Solutions (IDS) team supporting the Global Patient Safety organization. This team helps speed innovation to patients by ensuring drug safety that ultimately enables the right treatment to the right patient at the right time. In this role, you will leverage a technical foundation of IT skills to deliver a great level of service to our Global Patient Safety customers. This may include system testing, incident resolution, coding, configuration and development activities, and will set the foundation for a successful career in IT. With coaching and feedback, Lilly will provide you the ability to further your growth as a professional within the organization.

  • Testing – Ensure system testing methods are appropriate, coordinated, and comprehensive to decrease the probability of unexpected system issues and maximize business benefit.
  • Deployment –Contribute to the successful plan and execution of the deployment of the project or system changes, which includes support for training, business adoption, implementation, and stabilization activities.
  • Maintain application uptime/performance and lead a service team in resolving critical incidents or problems.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in the use of tools and processes supporting requirements management, code management, change management, validation, testing, and quality practices governing key work.

Basic Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of related or professional experience.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • At least 1 year of college and/or associate degree in a related field.
  • Experience, knowledge and desire to work in Pharma / Healthcare
  • Experience working in IT
  • Proficient in at least one coding language
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated environment where audit-readiness is paramount
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong organizing/multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
  • Learning agility and self-management skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
